We do suggest for today an excursion to Corvo. Reserve you place via your hotel. Avoid the speedboat if you have back problems . Prefer the slow fisher boat leaving from the arbour Santa Cruz das Flores This cruise is very much depending on the weather and waves. Do not be disappointed if the boatman tells that there will be no boat today and replace the excursion for a walking tour. The local tourist office will help you If going to Corvo be prepared for a two hours crossing until Corvo. Coming to the island the smallest from Azores you are on your own. There is a bus (taxi taking people to the top of the mountain were you will enjoy a fantastic scenery into the crater. If the weather allows walk back to Vila Nova do Corvo (care about the departure time of your boat. There is a restaurant in the centre of the village. Full day tour to Pico Take the first boat in the morning to Pico By arrival a car rental will wait for you You will realize soon that Madalena were the boat arrive is a very small but picturesque town. Follow the road to the airport and when you arrive do not take the road to the airport building but continue to the coast you will come to Cachorro a tinny village mainly of wine cellars or vacation houses. This is a magnificent spot to observe the waves impact in the coast and getting over like geysers. Leave the hotel yearly in the morning to Madalena were you will leave the car to take the fisrt ferry to Horta crossing a chanel of 7 km between the two islands. It is a short but very interesting trip and scenery observing the merchants arriving from Fayal with theuir agricultural products and the people from Pico embarking the same products to sell in Fail. You will probably see dolphins accompanying the ferry. Your arrival in the arbour of Horta will give you a nice picture of this typical little town which is very appreciated by all foreigners passing by.
